African Dance Professor

He possesses solid training in  Modern’jazz, hip-hop, musical theater and African dance. In 1985, he began his career as a dancer then choreographer with the “Kouamé Black Show” Company. He started teaching African dance in the schools in the Ivory coast in 1999 (L’Arc en Ciel, Adage Cocody, …).

Since 2000, in France, through his classes and workshops, Clémént Assémian wishes to share with his students his culture, history and traditional dances of the Ivory Coast and other African countries (Mali, Guinea, Burundi, South Africa, …) as well as the popular Ivoirian dances.

He is regularly invited to the James Carlès Centre as a Professor and musician, and is also a dancer and musician in the James Carlès Company, notably in the “Dances et Continents Noirs” project.
