Jazz Professor

After having completed her formal ballet training at the Opéra of Paris at the age of 17, Nicole GUITTON joined the Ballet du Rhin (Opéra of Strasbourg), followed by several Ballet  comapnies in Paris. She perfected her skills in Contemporary and Jazz  with Caroline CARLSON, Peter GOSS, Gene ROBINSON, Valérie CAMILLE,  and Victor UPSHAW becoming the assistant and soloist of the company.

A multi-faceted career, she has played in a few films with Claude LELOUCH, Henri VERNEUIL, René CLEMENT, Jacques TATI,  in numerous television shows and theaters, singing and performing…

At the age of  28, she started choroegraphy for theaters, television and performances and directed the staging for a few productions.

From 1974-1980  she was the choreographer and director of two dance companies, “Le Ballet Groupe 18” and “Jazz-Danse Compagnie”.

Certified dance professor (option jazz), she taught “open courses” in Paris and then became tenured at the Conservatory of GARCHES for 18 years, she has been invited to a number of workshops in France and abroad.

As a Teacher for dance instructors, she has taught dance education in several Training Facilites.

Director of the « Jeune Ballet Jazz Français » for ten years (1988 “The Year od Dance” to 1998), choreographed numerous ballets. She is also a memeber of the Société des Auteurs (SACD)

Representative of the Ministry of Culture she has taken part in numerous panels anddirected many dance variations for the Bachelor’s Degree of Dance (Diplôme d’État). In April 2007 she created her website
