Dancer Alvin Ailey & Modern Jazz Professor
Solomon Dumas is originally from Chicago, Illinois. Mr.Dumas began his formal dance education at the Chicago Academy For The Arts. He studied classical ballet, Graham based modern and jazz under Anna Paskevska, Randy Duncan and Sandra Kauffman. Mr. Dumas continued his studies at New World School of The Arts. There he was selected to perform in Kaohsiung and Taipei Taiwan as a part of a cultural arts exchange. Mr. Dumas also studied at the Ailey School as a fellowship level one recipient. Mr Dumas was a member of Garth Fagan Dance, Ronald K. Brown/ Evidence, and AileyII. He has performed works by George Faison, Sidra Bell, Thang Dao, Martha Graham, Donald Byrd and Darell Moultrie.
